ORI held a Luncheon Seminar at the 63rd Meeting of
Japanese Society for Food Science and Technology

On August 27 2016, Osato Research Institute held a Luncheon Seminar at the 63rd meeting of Japanese Society for Food Science and Technology at the Meijo University, Nagoya. Dr. Sachiko Okuda, vice-director of Osato Research Institute, made a presentation on "Role of functional foods in preventive medicine - Clinical research reports on FPP (Fermented Papaya Preparation) as a medical food".

The presentation on ORI's challenge in the field of preventive medicine consisted of three parts: ①Preventive Education on AIDS, ②Research on Fermented Papaya Preparation, ③Activity of making vineyards(the pursuit of QOL for the elders). We also introduced recent important clinical researches on FPP, especially on Skin aging, diabetics, Parkinson disease and Alzheimer disease, etc.
About 100 people attended this luncheon seminar and the room was almost full. We would like to show our appreciation for so many attendees.

ORI also set up a booth and made a presentation from August 25 to 27, 2016. We had a good opportunity to introduce our activities to the visitors. We would like to continue to take the opportunity to present FPP researches and conduct useful opinion exchange in future for further development of our activities.
