Looking up the tree very carefully, we found something round. There are plenty of them.

It looks like a flower or a mast.
It is said that beech tree produces large crops of seeds only in some years, so beech mast is very precious. Supposing they are beech masts, we would like to keep observing them expecting that they will ripe in autumn.
