Having on board of "Shirase" to come home
On February 8, the summer troupe of 55th JARE to which Mr. Ito belongs to had on board of "Shirase" to come home. They finished all the mission in Antarctica and left there with the winter troupe of the 54th JARE.
All the members of the winter troupe of 55th JARE came to the heliport of the Showa Baseto see them off. They parted reluctantly and flew by helicopter to board "Shirase".
All the crews including the captain Hidaka welcomed them on "Shirase" and glad to know that they finished their mission safely, which must be really hard under the severe circumstances during the Antarctic summer lasting two months.
