First landing on Antactica!?
We had agreat news from Mr. Ito in "Shirase".
On December 14, the Japanese Icebreaker "Shirase" arrived to the sea ice point, about 20 km to the west of the Showa Station in Artactica. They are heading to the Showa Station by snow vehicles and helicopters.
We are looking forward to hear from them about their activity in Pisten bully!
Although "Shirase" could not reach Antarctica due to thick ice in the last year and the year before last, it started breaking 6 meters thick ice little by little to reach the Antarctic continent.
Let's send hearty cheers to "Shirase"!
