SFRRI 2014 in Kyoto

The 17th Biennial Meeting of Society for Free Radical Research International (SFRRI 2014) was held at the Kyoto International Conference Center (ICCKyoto) from March 23 to 26, 2014.

In Japan, Prof. Toshikazu Yoshikawa from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, a good friend of Mr. Hayashi, has been leading this committee since he was young, and this year Prof. Shinya Toyokuni from Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine and Prof. Yuji Naito from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine led it toward success as chairmen, each..

Prof. Eliezer A. Rachmilewitz, Senior Director of O.R.I. and Prof. Eitan Fibac, a scientific advisory board member of O.R.I., made a series of poster presentation on the effect of FPP on radioactive exposure in vivo and in vitro.

Also, Ms. Makiko Osato, researcher of Osato Research Institute, currently studying at the Department of Hematology and Oncology of Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine, made a presentation on the effect of FPP against oxidative stress of PNH patients.

We were inspired by the presence of such fruitful discussion with many scientists for the future researches on FPP.

Yuki Hayashi
President of Osato Research Institute
